Transportation Options
Seating on all transportation options is guaranteed until August 26th. All transportation options include the transport of your bicycle to the final destination. 
 

Before the Ride
Durham to Lake Junaluska (Oct 1): $75 - Cycle North Carolina offers riders the option to leave their vehicle in Durham (an additional $10 parking fee is required to leave your vehicle) at the Sheraton Imperial (4700 Emperor Blvd, Durham, NC 27703) and take a bus to Lake Junaluska at the start of the ride. All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck and taken to the start of the ride. The bus will leave Durham at 10am on Saturday, October 1. Check in will begin at 9am. Travel time typically ranges from 3.25 to 4 hours. 
*A transportation option from Holden Beach to Lake Junaluska before the ride is not offered this year, so plan to take the Durham to Lake Junaluska transportation option if needed. 

3-day Western Bus
Belmont to Lake Junaluska (Oct 4): $75 - This transportation option is primarily for those participating in the 3-day Western Option. This option provides you with the ability to leave your vehicle at the long term parking location in Lake Junaluska (an additional $10 parking fee is required to leave your vehicle), ride your bike for three days and then hop on a bus back to your vehicle. This bus will depart Belmont at 5:00pm with bus loading beginning 30 minutes prior to departure. The estimated travel time is typically between 2.5 to 3 hours. All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck and taken back to the start of the ride.
Only two wheel upright traditional bikes are allowed.

After the Ride
Holden Beach to Laurinburg (Oct 8): $75 - This transportation option is primarily for those participating in the 2-day Eastern Option. This option provides you with the ability to leave your vehicle in the short term parking location in Laurinburg (an additional $10 parking fee is required to leave your vehicle), ride your bike for two days and then hop on a bus back to your vehicle at the end of the ride. This bus will depart for Laurinburg at 6:00pm on Saturday, October 8. The estimated travel time is 2.5 hours. All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck and taken back to Laurinburg.


Holden Beach to Whiteville (Oct 8): $65 - This transportation option is primarily for those participating in the Last Day Only option. This option provides you with the ability to leave your vehicle in the short term parking location in Whiteville, ride your bike for the last day and then hop on a bus back to your vehicle at the end of the ride. This bus will depart for Whiteville at 6:00pm on Saturday, October 8. The estimated travel time is 1 hour. All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck and taken back to Whiteville.

Holden Beach to Durham (Oct 9): $75 - This transportation option is available for those who parked their car in Durham at the Sheraton Imperial at the beginning of the ride or those just needing to get back to the Raeligh-Durham area at the end of the ride. Departure will be on Sunday, October 9 at 8:00am from Holden Beach. Travel time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.  All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck on Saturday after you have crossed the finish line.

Holden Beach to Lake Junaluska (Oct 9): $90 This transportation option is available for those who parked their car in the long term parking area in Lake Junaluska at the beginning of the ride (an additional $10 parking fee is required to leave your vehicle). Departure will be on Sunday, October 9 at 8:00am from Holden Beach. Travel time is approximately 6 hours plus a stop for lunch along the way.  All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck on Saturday after you have crossed the finish line. No trikes, recumbents or velomobiles are permitted.
