Cycle NC Excursions by Visit NC are another way to explore North Carolina during this year's Mountains to Coast Ride. Excursions are a great option for non-riders, or for riders that want to take a day(s) off from cycling during the week, or may not want to ride in the mountains, in bad weather, etc. Some of the highlights from previous Cycle NC Excursions include taking in the view from Grandfather Mountain, going for a ride at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, exploring the exhibits at the NC Museum of Art, learning about rescue efforts and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and sampling the food at the North Carolina Seafood Festival.
For just $25 per day ($150 for the Full Week), you can take a day to explore wineries, breweries, historic sites, museums and other points of interest as you travel from one campsite to another. Transportation and bike transport are included. Additional fees may apply for tastings, admissions to sites and meals. Excursions can be purchased during the registration process, or added to an existing registration for no additional fee.
