Weather Updates
9/30/24 @ 2:50pm EDT After meeting with town officials, we have confirmed that we will not be able to start this year’s Cycle NC Mountains to Coast event as scheduled in Spruce Pine as a result of the destruction of Hurricane Helene. We are devastated for our Western North Carolina friends, communities, riders and partners. Our event has been through many of the towns that are going through this catastrophic, once-in-a-lifetime event and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. The safety of our participants, volunteers and staff is our top priority. Our current plan is to start this year’s event in Lenoir at Mulberry Recreation Center.  Lenoir is excited to host our participants.  The restaurants, shops and town will all be open and ready for our event! Check-in day will be held on Sunday, October 6 in Lenoir, and the first day of riding will be on Monday, October 7, from Lenoir to Statesville. The rest of the event will take place as scheduled. If you are a registered participant, check your emails this afternoon for more details!

9/28/24 @ 8:30am EDT - First and foremost, our thoughts are with all those communities, residents and riders that have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. We are currently monitoring the impact of the storm on our campsites and our routes. We will be working with our Cycle NC host communities to determine if any changes need to be made with the event.  Any updates will be posted on this webpage, so please bookmark it for easy access.  The route release scheduled for Monday may be delayed as we assess the situation. We will allow our western NC host communities to begin their recovery process, so our next update will be no later than 3pm EDT on Monday (9/30).
