E-bike Charging Service

E-bikes and e-assist bikes are NOT be permitted at the Cycle North Carolina Charging stations but we do offer an E-bike Charging Service. Simply drop your bike at the end of the day with at our Bike Mechanics Service Tents and they will handle the charging for you! No need to keep up with your charger all week... No need to haul your bike to the hotel.

The service includes charging for up to 750w of battery power, the ability to have a battery taken to the rest stop of your choice plus all of the benefits of the VIP Bike Service:

Quick hand-off so you can find your gear or shuttle
Wash or wipe-down depending on conditions
Chain lube and tire inflation
Checkover with minor adjustments
Priority for more advanced repairs if needed (at an additional charge)
Secure storage for the night with protection from the elements

VIP Bike Service

SOLD OUT! Our VIP Bike Service lets you remove any concerns regarding your bike during the week. Each day as you finish your ride, just drop your bike off at our Bike Mechanics Service Tents and then pick it up in the morning to start your day, ready to ride! The VIP Service includes:

Quick hand-off so you can find your gear or shuttle
Wash or wipe-down depending on conditions
Chain lube and tire inflation
Checkover with minor adjustments
Priority for more advanced repairs if needed (at an additional charge)
Secure storage for the night with protection from the elements

Bike Shipping

Cycle North Carolina offers the option for you to ship your bike to us for our Mountains to Coast Ride. Once we receive your bike, our bike techs will assemble it before the event and we will have it ready for you on Saturday in Spruce Pine. At the end of the ride, our bike techs will handle the breakdown, packing and shipping of your bike back to your home. All bikes must be received no later than Wednesday, September 25th!

End of Ride Guest Tickets

Guest meal tickets allow participants to bring non-registered family members or friends to the Cycle NC End of Ride Celebration and Catered Meal. ($25.00)

Cycle NC Excursions by Visit NC

Cycle NC Excursions by Visit NC are another way to explore North Carolina during this year's Mountains to Coast Ride. Excursions are a great option for non-riders, or for riders that want to take day(s) off from cycling during the week or may not want to ride in the mountains, in bad weather, etc. Some of the highlights from previous Cycle NC Excursions include taking in the view from Grandfather Mountain, going for a ride at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, exploring the exhibits at the NC Museum of Art, and sampling the food at the North Carolina Seafood Festival. Motorcoach transportation and bike transport included. Additional fees may apply for tastings, admission to sites and meals. The list of 2024 Excursions will be posted soon but in the meantime, click here to check out the 2023 Excursions by Visit NC.

2024 Mountains to Coast Refund and Cancellation Policy

A No Refund Policy is in effect for the 2024 Cycle NC Mountains to Coast Ride. All payments are non-refundable for any reason including but not limited to illness, medical emergency, pandemic, epidemic, a death in the family, severe weather, hurricane and mandatory evacuation. You have the option to purchase the Cycle NC Mountains to Coast Ride Trip Cancellation Protection should you have to cancel for any reason. Registrations may not be deferred, transferred or credited. No exceptions.

2024 Cycle NC Mountains to Coast Ride Trip Cancellation Protection

Cycle NC offers the option to purchase Trip Cancellation Protection for the 2024 Mountains to Coast Ride. The Trip Cancellation Protection covers all monetary purchases made directly to Cycle NC during the registration process for the 2024 Mountains to Coast Ride. Trip Cancellation Protection does not cover expenses that were not paid to Cycle NC such as: flight reservations, car rentals, hotel reservations, third party vendor services, etc. nor does it cover expenses paid for using credit from a previous Cycle NC event. This Trip Cancellation Protection is only valid for the 2024 Cycle NC Mountains to Coast Ride and cannot be refunded, or transferred to another participant.

Cycle NC Trip Cancellation Protection may be purchased at the time of registration for $75, or added to an existing registration at a later date for $125.

If you purchase the Cancellation Protection and find yourself unable to attend the 2024 Mountains to Coast Ride for any reason, you have until 5pm EST on Monday, September 23 to send written notification of your need to cancel to the CNC office and receive a cash refund. Those who submit a written notification after that time will receive a refund in the form of credit. The credit will only be for the registration fee and not for any additional items purchased such as parking passes, meals, luggage, transportation, merchandise, etc. The credit will be good for one year after the issue date. No cash or credit refund will be issued for written notifications received after 5pm EST on Friday, October 4.

Cancellation notifications can be e-mailed to cyclenc@ncsports.org. Jerseys and additional event shirts will only be refunded for those cancellation notifications received on or before July 17. Jerseys and additional event shirts for those that cancel after July 17 will be sent to the address in your registration profile. All cash refunds will be issued in the form of a check and will be mailed no later than one month after the completion of the event. Refunds will not include the money spent to purchase the Trip Cancellation Protection nor any handling fees or expenses paid for using credit from a previous Cycle NC event.

NCAS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization. Your contribution is tax deductible under the guidelines of the IRS. All donations assist with keeping registration fees as low as possible and with aiding us in carrying out our mission of promoting health and wellness for all ages and skill levels.

Waiver *

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in North Carolina Amateur Sports and Cycle North Carolina related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates and agrees that:

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in Cycle North Carolina is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death; and,

2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however I observe any unusual significant hazard during my participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest NCAS/Cycle North Carolina representative; and,

4. The risk to have contact with individuals, who have been exposed to and/or have been diagnosed with one or more communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19 or other medical conditions, diseases, or maladies does exist, and it is impossible to eliminate the risk that I could be exposed to and/or become infected through contact with or close proximity with an individual with a communicable disease; and,

5. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby indemnify and hold harmless NCAS/Cycle North Carolina, their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event; and,

6. I grant to North Carolina Amateur Sports my permission to use without charge any and all photographs, video reproductions or other like kinds of image productions taken during the event; and,

7. I understand that Cycle North Carolina and the Cycle North Carolina Staff are not responsible for loss, theft, or any damages to personal property which include, but not limited to bicycles, vehicles, tents, trailers, luggage, etc.; and,

8. In order to protect the health and safety of all participants, I understand and agree that Cycle North Carolina may determine that the event may be cancelled, postponed or terminated at any time with no refund and I may not be able to participate or complete the event.  There will be no refunds for bad weather situations, force majeure events, acts of God, etc.; and,  

9. I have read and agree to the Cycle NC Cancellation and Refund Policy; and,

10. I agree that I will not issue a credit card chargeback or funds reversal at any time.
