** The 2022 BODYARMOR State Games Fencing Competition has been canceled. **


COMPETITION SITE: Apex Fencing Academy

COMPETITION DATES: June 4-5, 2022

ENTRY FEE: Registration fees starting at $55 for the first event and $15 for each additional event for Open Events. Fees starting at $35 for the first event and $10 for each additional event for Y12 Events. Click “Register” for more details.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 11:59pm on May 29. There will be no on-site registration.

Men's Epee - 9:00AM
Women's Foil - 9:00AM

* Events are currently being limited to 30 participants for Men's & Women's events and 15 participants for Y12 events. This number may change as we continue to monitor the latest updates and guidelines related to COVID-19.


COMPETITION FORMAT: Fencers will compete in pools of approximately 5-7 athletes, and then the results from the pool bouts will be used to place competitors into the direct elimination brackets.  There will be 100% advancement into the direct elimination brackets.  Direct elimination bouts will continue through the finals to determine overall placement.

EQUIPMENT: Masks, gloves, body/mask cords, and lames will be checked by armory. Competitors will need at least two of each of the following (with valid inspection marks) when showing up to strip: Body/Mask cords and weapons.  Fencers will not need their names stenciled on their uniforms for this event.

AWARDS: The Top 3 finishers overall in each event (Men's, Women's, and Y12) will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.  There will be no fence-off for 3rd place, thus there will be two bronze medals awarded.  We will award medals to the Top 3 Veteran, Cadet, and Junior if participation allows.
