North Carolina Amateur Sports offers paid and volunteer internships during the year to assist with the planning and implementation of the Powerade State Games of North Carolina, Cycle North Carolina and various other programs.  Students from all majors are encouraged to apply. Interns receive experience in marketing, special events planning, volunteer services, publication design and competition organization. Interns must be able to work extensive weekends and nights.

The Powerade State Games of North Carolina is the largest multi-sport festival in North Carolina and one of the largest State Games programs in the United States.

The Powerade State Games of North Carolina will be moving from Charlotte to Winston-Salem for 2011 and 2012. The tentative dates for the majority of the sports in 2011 are June 17-26.
